A Big Day

Jem begged to try riding AB's bike today at the park.  Pretty good for a first try.

The minute we got home the training wheels came off her bike. Looks like we'll be frequenting the park more often (than the current rate of 6 times a week)

House

The scaffolding came off yesterday so now the inside fun starts.

Random Reno

Old photo of the new Family Room. If you've been to our house before, this is where the paved pergola area was.  The floor line is at the height of the red brick on the right of the photo.
Tri-terraced backyard is now flat.
Standing at the kitchen sink looking through new Family Room into backyard.
In Family Room looking back into Kitchen/Dining.
Inside the Dining room looking through to Kitchen.  Old photo but now that kitchen doorway and servery are gone.
Standing in boarded up kitchen.  All those white walls have now gone.
Standing at kitchen sink.  The gaps in the walls are for bifold doors and the gap above that is for louvres.
Photo from today.  From backyard looking into Family Room on left and Guest Room/Study on right.
Pool hiding under timber 'lid' in foreground.

May Birthdays

Sick at Six.  Had the week off school with Croup/Flu/Misery.
Thunderbirds are GO and Mummy is considering putting a STOP to this birthday cake tradition.

Mummy's birthday cake - decorated in 3 minutes by 5 cousins and tasted more delicious than his.  But oh, so ugly!

'Fun' 'Run'

So, it turns out that every year all MB wants for his birthday gift from now on is for us to do a family fun run.  (I know you are wondering how him and I ever got together.)  So...here we are.

HBF Run for a Reason.  Our reason was a charity called Hagar that helps restores women and children from human right abuses in various countries.

Ready to roll

Knowing there was THIS at the finish line was impetus enough for me to keep pushing the pram for another kilometre.  I ate my bodyweight in eggs and bacon at the end.

Exmouth - Relax

Here are some Barr Proof of (Holiday) Life shots

Hearing "yes" to the question "Can I watch more tv?"
