We're Leaving On A Jet Plane
We are busting to get on a plane for Sydney to enjoy Christmas, good ol' friends and a brain holiday from the difficulties of our little world. This year has been the hardest we've shared yet but we are so grateful for each other and the little punks that live with us.
Angus talks constantly about going on a plane to see Baapa and Grandma and all the things he's said he'll do there are remarkable - sleep in a big bed, do wees in the big toilet, wake Baapa up and eat vegetables.
Jemilla is on the move with a frustrated shuffle/crawl so look out Angus. She's after all his toys and he knows it. She still wakes every morning between 4:10 and 4:30am and we can't change her mind about that with any technique or hoodwinked plan. So we alternate who shoves a piece of toast in her hand and pounds the neighbourhood pavement on a morning walk. We are mindful that she's coming with us on 'holidays' so our expectations are realistic. We're planning a sleep-in in 2015.
The upside of walking (and dieting) is that we've both lost 5kgs. Yay!
For Angus there are only 12 more sleeps until Sydney and for me there are only 5 more business shirts to iron. Everyone's got their own way of counting down time.
