I didn't get a chance to have a shower this morning before M left for work. I thought I try my luck at the ensuite shower and AB could play in the room while I did my thing. It worked for a very short moment but his fascination with water overcame him. Next thing I know I'm shampooing my hair with a little, fully clothed, man standing next to me. It was worth a giggle.
We are done and dusted from our soujourn "over east". It was so relaxing to have grandparents eager to take care of all the household tasks AND a 1 year old. It was a real holiday.
Michael started a new job on Monday so life has taken a new path for a while. He's working in the CBD so there'll be a few mid-week family lunches had by the water fountain in Forrest Place in the days to come. It's only a 10m walk from home and the seagull+water combo is a hour of free entertainment that money can't buy.
After months of 4am starts for our family (well, to be honest, M does most of the hard yards) I've started AB on one day sleep today. I'm hoping this will tucker him out so much he'll want to get up somewhere in the 5am's from here on. Go son, you can do it.
