Alright already!!!

Ok. It's not the 22nd March anymore for those of you who have eagerly clicked on the blog over the past 3 months and been disappointed in the lack of update. Here are a few pic's that should satisfy. I want to make it really clear that these photos must not be distributed to Home Beautiful magazine as we are still in the early stages of moving in and I need to sit with the arrangement of furniture a little longer before we go showing off to the world. (!)

Back to Front

This is pre-furniture standing on the back deck and looking straight up the house to the front door. We rescued those wooden doors from an old church Michael demolished. There's a little plaque on them saying "Donated by Mr and Mrs Smyth".

The Kitch

Here's my space. Cooked some melt-in-your-mouth Lamb Shanks in Red Wine in that tonight. So, the kitchen works. The splashback is wallpaper reprinted from the 70's designer Florence Broadhurst. She has been an obsession of mine of late.

Here's the hidden work space of the kitchen. It's like a baking/pantry area for appliances and mess.

The Pavillion (or The Pav!)

Here's the main space. North facing and sunny all day long except in summer when the outside eave shades the whole room. My Christmas present to Michael was the crazy feature light and his to me are the old Sunday School tressle tables. GREAT! The floor is polished concrete with lots of cracks and aggregate in it. We like.

The pavillion is passively heated by solar sun rays warming it up during the day (it faces north) so it's cosy at night.

Main Bedroom

Our room got a new coat of paint and a new walk-in robe and ensuite. You'll now notice my obsession with old suitcases.

Guest Room

Here's the old dining/kitchen converted to a new bedroom. If you come and sleepover, this is for you.

Ensuite

This is our old and disgusting bathroon converted to a new and modern ensuite.

This is the pressed tin feature wall. Isn't she lovely? Also, that toilet only uses 3 litres of water for a half flush and it's all rainwater collected from our own roof. Green or what?!

Old Lounge Room

Here's the old lounge room that has a few new doors and is now the thoroughfare between the front door and the new part of the house. The TV is in here - deliberately inconvienient and (at the moment) really cold. The old Art Deco lounge is my pride and joy. I found it on the side of the road and got it re-upholstered to its former glory.

The old lounge room with new french doors opening onto the internal deck. It's rooly, rooly sunny most of the day.

Yet to be sort'd, this is my studio with heaps of built in cupboards and workbench.

This is the old study that is a mess.

And that's all for now
