This is our life
Well, we've been very quiet on this blog due to our life being the opposite. I've gone crazy on the photo uploads this morning to give a brief update on the last few months. There's been a fair share of tears over Cam's cancer and how that is impacting their world. The whole process made so much easier by Cam and Libs tenacity and peace. If you haven't already you should read his blog at http://www.thewalkbeside.com/ People often say to me "It must be hard being so far away" but most of the time it's ok. I'm so loved and supported here by so many people including good friends and family in the West. The hardest thing is you have to make judgements about when the 'best' time is to go and visit....rather than just go. I also feel terrible that Cam, Libs, Carms, or whoever has to deliver me difficult news over the phone. It shouldn't have to be like that...they have enough to think deal with let alone being considerate of me. I think I'm doing well. I feel like I have accepted the fact Cam's cancer will affect me for the rest of my life. We had good news yesterday but there will always be the next scan or the next test results that leave me no option but to wait with peace. Anxiety hurts your heart and I don't need it. Surely our faith has to live through this situation and make a difference. I've always feared losing a family member in a sudden and instant death. I'm so grateful for life and time and health and good results and more time and hopefully a long time of togetherness.
The cafe is a good place to be for me. Know lots of people and starting to crank up community dinners and other stuff. It all just happens at my pace so it's sustainable and not overwhelming for anyone. We don't want to smother people but we also want people to know they are welcome wherever we are.
Michael's not so much enjoying his job. He's going back to study next year to keep his MBA in process. He'll just do 1 unit each semester. He's so tops.
Looking forward to AFL grand final tomorrow. We'll be cheering for Geelong in alliance with Marcus.
We are off to Tasmania for a holiday in a few weeks. Neither of us have been there before so it'll be brill. More on that later.
Now that our new computer is (nearly) set up entirely, we should be more frequent on the blog. But, you never know!
