October

Angus went as Kwazii to a pirate party.

Sitting on the front step.  All the usual poses...AB determining out how something works, J talking/singing/humming/chatting and SB playing 'pop goes the weasel' even if noone else is playing.

We found a dead bird, just hatched out of an egg.  So we rescued him from the footpath and gave him a proper funeral. It was a bit sad.  Both big kids wanted to name him so we ended up settling on "Precious Deady". Forever in our hearts.

A week or so later we found Precious Deady's siblings.  Happy Endings.  A week or so later we discovered the nest empty and decided it was that they were old enough to fly by themselves now...not the kookaburra option.

There's something about this photo that reminds me of 1977.

Rotto with "Cousints"

We had great memories of Rottnest after our little getaway with the Wheatleys in 2011. Now, 2 years later, we went back with our family from Newcastle. Lots of fun.

We had a day of sunshine, one of rain and one of clouds.  All fine by us.

On the beach in front of our pad.

Found some treasures

Saw many quokkas but this one had a baby

Our neighbours!
