Honkers!!

Hong Kong!
Crowded. Busy. Dense. Humid. Kooky.
Holiday Destination, 2013

Wouldn't be Hong Kong without a purchase at the markets.

But no purchase at this market.

Lots of people living in not much space.

My favourite photo of the holiday.

Pork Bun Therapy.

Happy Birthday to Me at the top of The Peak.

Happy Birthday to Him at the top of the Big Buddha mountain.
It was too foggy to see the Buddha so we just ate our Subway.

And just before leaving the mountain we bumped into the only person we know living in China, but living a thousand kms away from this place.    My bro's best friend, Damian. We were both being tourists. What are the chances??!!  Still remains the highlight of the trip.  (And the Big Buddha was sitting on his head!)

Happy Birthday Cakes.

Coincidentally we are reading The Magic Faraway Tree at the moment so this was pretty cool.

Speaking of cool...the live seafood market with crabs, eels, catfish, frogs, fish and crays.  (One of these things is not like the other.)

Oh look!  A downpour.  Never been happier.

Yum Cha with silver service and chandeliers with our friend Lisa.

We Wii'd - Bowling in our apartment.

Panda!

Celebrities

The Aquarium.

Angus loved it.

Science Museum - Scitech on steriods.

The Happiest Place On Earth

Disneyland...'the happiest place on earth' is the claim.  It was a bucketing down when we first arrived so the odds were against us.  Hard to be happy with sodden socks.

Mickey is surfing on the blowhole of a whale at the entrance.

It didn't rain on the parade!  Dancers and singers galore.

Mesmerised by "Mary" (every princess is called 'Mary')

And then the moment they got picked out of the crowd to dance around Mary.  Her biggest life moment.  His most terrifying moment!

Jem and Mary

The paparazzi following our blondie everywhere we went.

It's A Small World.  Mummy's favourite childhood memory from Disneyland.

And she was not disappointed.  It was fabulous; sitting in a boat watching the world sing.

The Barr Family Favourite from 2013.  A 30min stage show of the Broadway show The Lion King.  It was so fabulous.  I bawled my way through the first time (the 4 part harmonies do it to me every time).  Sixty performers doing an incredible performance.

Wonderful sets.  I think I really should've been a set designer.  I was totally overwhelmed and a overstimulated.  I just cried!!

Angus's favourites - the fire twirlers.

Her happy place in the happiest place.

Toy Story Land.  Someone else was overwhelmed here.

Buzz!  This ride (sitting in moving spaceships with laser guns to shoot targets) was the winner for our firstborn.

This boy does not need anything except torrential rain and a gap in his wet weather gear that might enable him to get as much water to his body as the clothing permits.  He leaned forward in his pram for over an hour during an absolute dumping of rain, massive bolts of lightening and deafening thunder.  Thrill seeking infant.

Melt yer heart gorgeous!!

Will you not stick your head in??!!!

What?  More water?!  A water playground in the rain?!

All pooped.

How We Got From Here To There

In an elephant...

In a rocket...

In a pram...

In a tram...

In a train...

In a cable car...

In a hurry...

In a racing car...

On a horse....

On a raft...

In a cup (refusing to give the photographer any facial pleasure)

In a train...

On a ferry....

In a taxi...

In a crane...(at the Science Museum)

On a double decker bus....

And Mummy fed Siley in nearly every one of these locations just to keep him still and quiet.
