The ol' girl is looking good. All cladding finished, insultation in and soffit's complete. I didn't know what a soffit was until last week either. We are now at lock up and the two houses are joined by a functioning door so it feels much more real. Might even have dinner on the slab some night soon. Not sure how much blogging will happen over the next few weeks as we are moving out and staying with the in-laws. Don't feel sorry for me, last week we stayed there and were served up salmon steaks for dinner one night and something equally delicious the other. Bring it on baby.

You can only get a certain amount of excitement evoked by talking insulation. Our bro-in-law John Bain can out do anyone in this area...he sold us this stuff and we are excited with him.

Here's us at the posh QVB Tearoom for high tea celebrating Merrill's birthday last week.

Here's Sarah and the cute Hugh after he had a boy's day with Grandpa.

Here are the three girls (sister carms and John Bain's sister Ros) out on the water last weekend.

End of the week pic's

She's coming on alright now with nearly all the cladding on the walls. This is with the bifolds open for maximum breeze and fresh air.

This the the internal deck area that isn't a deck yet and those will be louvres where the 2 side frames are now. The next big decision is what colour to paint it. Anyone want to suggest something?
